The New Jersey Scottish Heritage Festival is a celebration for all who are of Scottish heritage whether by birth, marriage or want.
The Festival, which is in its 32nd year, provides the best of the Scottish cultural and heritage-related activities with pipe bands performances, Highland athletic competition, Highland and Country dance performances, tradition children's games and historical re-enactments.
The Festival always provides musical entertainment in a weather-protected setting. Performers, who vary yearly, perform traditional Scottish folk songs as well as new variations of Celtic-influenced rock and folk.
Also participating in the Festival are numerous food vendors who prepare are a wide range of traditional Scottish foods, such as fish & chips, meat pies, bridies and scones. These vendors also provide less Scottish fare such as sausage & peppers, hot dogs, hamburgers and Fried Oreos among others. Among the vendors who have served the Festival for years include Stewart's of Kearny, Arygle's Fish & Chips, Thistle Fish & Chips and Camerons of Kearny.
Our non-food vendors sell numerous Scottish items such as kilts,shirts, sweaters, figurines, clan-related items and of course a wide range of jewelry. Our vendors include Piper's Cove, Bradley's Imports, Union Jack, Tinkers' Tartan among others.
